UpToDate,
MDConsult & DynaMed
Because
access to current medical information is important to our
physicians and the care they provide patients, the Health
Sciences Library provides key resources in a variety of formats
to meet the diverse needs and preferences across the organization.
Periodically, we evaluate resources, including engaging physicians
in the review of our offerings. Based on recent feedback,
we will continue to offer access to UpToDate to our hospital
facilities. For our off-campus users, we will supplement UpToDate
with direct access to MDConsult and DynaMed through Logician
beginning Friday, Dec. 1, 2006.
Both
MDConsult and DynaMed are excellent resources that offer access
to comprehensive medical information.
- MDConsult
provides quick look up and point-of-care search functions
including practice guidelines and the differential diagnosis
database, FIRSTConsult.
- DynaMed is
a point-of-care, evidence based primary care resource that
is under review to determine how it best meets physician
needs. Please let us hear from you as we assess this new
product.
