as they seek educational opportunities that
help them succeed in their jobs and make our
organization more effective. To help support
our employees, we offer two options for
education assistance.
Tuition Reimbursement (formerly Education Assistance)
provides financial support to eligible employees
who are pursuing a pre-approved degree,
certificate program or individual coursework.
Employees pay their tuition costs up front
and are then reimbursed.
The procedure for tuition reimbursement includes a requirement of submitting proof of payment and proof of grades no later than 90 days after the completion of the course. Submit these documents to the Human Resources Department, 1202 Third Street, Roanoke, VA 24016.

Tuition Advancement
(formerly Tuition Waiver) advances the tuition
cost for eligible employees who are seeking
a degree in Nursing, Respiratory Therapy,
Healthcare Management or Medical Technology
at Carilion-affiliated schools. Carilion
pays the tuition up front for the employees
meeting the eligibility requirements.
