Carilion Savings Plan

Carilion offers both a 401(k) and 403(b) savings plan. The 401(k) Plan is offered by Carilion's for-profit companies while the 403(b) Plan is offered by Carilion's non-profit companies.  You may contribute from 1/2 percent up to 50 percent of your pay each pay period within Internal Revenue Service annual limits.  Additionally, Carilion offers a contribution to your account.  You don't pay federal or state taxes on the earnings in your account until you withdraw the funds, usually at retirement.
