Carilion Federal Credit Union

The Carilion Federal Credit Union, located at 1030 Jefferson St., Suite 102, provides Carilion employees a variety of financial services. The Credit Union offers various types of accounts and loans to suit most any need. When added to the availability of postage stamps, money orders, traveler’s checks and discount theme park and movie theater tickets, the Credit Union is a great employee benefit.

Services include:

  • Online banking and bill pay
  • Free Checking Account - no monthly service charges, no minimum balance and direct deposit available
  • Visa Check Card
  • Real estate and home equity loans with no origination fees - member pays closing costs (usually under $750)
  • New and used automobile loans, signature loans and share secured loans
  • Additional member insurance available for loan disability, auto, life, short and long term disability, long-term care as well as accidental death coverage ($1,000 free for being a Carilion Credit Union member)
  • Share certificates of deposit, 12 months and six months with competitive rates
  • Christmas club and vacation savings accounts available using direct deposit
  • Convenient office hours in Roanoke with full teller services available from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Automated teller machine (ATM) located on 933 Jefferson St. with 24-hour access
  • The Student Loan Repayment can help ease the pressures associated with student loans. The Carilion Federal Credit Union pays off student loans for eligible employees up to $10,000, excluding physicians, and refinances the amount at a lower percentage rate. To allow for convenient repayment, the Credit Union automatically payroll deducts each pay period. Student loans are refinanced on a first-come, first-served basis of available funds
