During September, the Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Residency Program and the Carilion Clinic Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine are sponsoring a conference and two public forums where you can learn more about lifestyle medicine. Employee Reimbursement Mileage Rate Changes
The IRS has announced an increase in the standard mileage rate for the final six months of 2008. Citing "recent gasoline price increases," the IRS has increased the standard business mileage rate from 50.5 cents to 58.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven after July 1, 2008. More>
 
Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTC)
Continues to Take Shape

In January 2007, Gov. Timothy Kaine announced our partnership with Virginia Tech to create a medical school in Roanoke. Since that announcement, significant progress has been made toward the goal of admitting the first class of 40 medical students in the fall of 2010. The new medical school will help meet the growing need for physicians and strengthen the economy in our region. More>
